NBA playoffs: LeBron James makes Shocking claim after Cleveland beat Toronto in Game 1

Wednesday, 2 May 2018

LEBRON JAMES sensationally claimed he had one of his worst games of the season against the Toronto Raptors - despite finishing with a triple-double.

The 33-year-old ended up with 26 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers past the Raptors in Game 1 of their conference semi-final clash.

James, who bagged his second triple-double of the playoffs in the 113-112 overtime victory, has been sensational for Cleveland in the post season, with the three-time NBA champion averaging 33 points per game.

The small forward made the final shot to force overtime in Toronto, with James leading his team in points and assists once again.

However, James, who shot 12-30 last night and didn’t score in overtime, wasn’t pleased with his performance against Toronto, with the Cavs star saying he had one of his worst games of the season.

“We just learn from our mistakes, we learn how we can be resolved,” said James.

“We know what buttons to press at times. Is it always going to result in a win? No.

“We know what we’re capable of. We knew we were going to get their best shot today.

“They knew we didn’t have much rest or preparation, they’ve been waiting around for us.

“But we just wanted to come in with the best game plan we could in such short time.

“Shots weren’t going in for me personally. I had one of my worst games of the season.

It’s just about trying to make things happen at the right time.

“They make a run, you try to get a couple of stops and make shots, Kyle Korver was able to do that tonight.

“It got to a one or two possession game and for me personally, that’s what I like the most.

“I was able to make a couple of shots in the post and send it to overtime, and then we just took off from there.”
