Chelsea look uncertain about Thibaut Courtois’ future at the club due to intense and persistent pressure from Real Madrid for the Belgian signature ahead of the summer transfer window.

Thibaut Courtois, who has been impressive since he returned to Stamford Bridge in 2014 after his successful loan spell at Atletico Madrid, will see off his current contract by the end of next season but he could switch to the Santiago Bernabeu before the start of next season as Florentino Perez remains keen on his service after failing to convince Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.

As a result of their uncertainty over the netminder’s future, Chelsea are set to make a move for young goalkeeper Berke Özer who is under contract with Altinordu — a team in the Turkish second tier league.

His current contract will expire in June 2019, but Chelsea are hoping to get the player in the summer and beat other clubs who are also keeping a close tab on the player’s growth in the league.

Berke Özer has six appearances to his name so far this season in which he conceded 12 goals. He only managed just one clean sheet out of the six matches which was in goal for the Turkish team.

Despite his unimpressive clean sheet record, the 17-year-old is currently one of the most sought-after youngsters in the world as Barcelona, Chelsea, PSV Eindhoven, Juventus, and Borussia Dortmund are vying for the Turkish international according to reports via Foot Mercato.
