Former Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel is at the top of a four-man shortlist to replace Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, according to the Express.
Tuchel spent two seasons at Dortmund winning the DFB-Pokal during his time there. He was sacked by Dortmund after a fallout with the board last year over the club’s sales of key players, and has been out of job since then.
Antonio Conte on his part has been linked with an exit from the club after recent bad results, with a number of names being linked with his job.
The 4-1 loss to Watford on Monday night got the fans calling for his sack or his resignation, neither of which has come so far, so it is safe to say he will be in charge for Chelsea’s next game against West Brom, where he will need a good result to keep his job.
The four-man shortlist to replace Conte currently includes Luis Enrique, Marco Silva, Carlo Ancelotti and Thomas Tuchel, though the club insists they have made no approaches yet to any candidate for the job.
