BBC REPORT: CHELSEA MAKE DECISION ON ANTONIO CONTE’S FUTURE

The BBC have provided an update on Antonio Conte’s future as Chelsea manager, and it’s good news for the Italian.

Following two defeats in a week to AFC Bournemouth and Watford, with an aggregate scoreline of 7-1 to the opposition, the pressure appeared to be mounting on Conte.

With Roman Abramovich’s reputation as a ruthless owner, you feared that Conte would soon be dismissed by the Russian, especially after our exit from the Carabao Cup at the semi-final stage.

However, it looks as though Conte will be staying put, for now at least. BBC reporter Simon Stone has revealed that Chelsea have no intention of sacking Conte.

It is claimed that the board recognise that we are still in the top four in the Premier League, as well as being in both the FA Cup and Champions League.

Whether Conte is here come the start of next season remains to be seen, but it doesn’t look as though he’ll be handed his P45 before the summer.
