According to the latest transfer news, Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi is set to leave Stamford Bridge on loan in January.
The Belgian forward barely featured under Antonio Conte last term and while he has been handed more playing time this season, he is still behind Chelsea’s record signing Alvaro Morata in the pecking order at the club.
As per The Sun, Antonio Conte has informed the 24-year-old striker that he can join another club on a temporary deal for the remainder of the campaign.
It is also believed that the Chelsea head coach will target a replacement signing so he is not left short of options in attack. Batshuayi was signed for £33m from Marseille last year but he has failed to make an impact so far.
The Belgium international had been sidelined since the end of October due to a foot injury but made his return as a late substitute earlier this week in Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
Batshuayi was then given a full game to impress the following day and the former Marseille man managed to score a brace for Chelsea’s Under-21s in a 4-0 win over MK Dons in the Checkatrade Trophy.
