Mateo Kovacic has admitted that he is relishing the prospect of lining up with N’Golo Kante in midfield for Chelsea FC this season.
Kovacic signed for the Blues on a season long loan deal from Real Madrid after the west London side agreed to sell Thibaut Courtois to the Spanish club.
The Croatia international will now be hoping to hold down a regular spot in the first team at Stamford Bridge as he bids to try and help Chelsea FC to challenge for the title.

Kovacic earned plenty of praise for his strong performances for Croatia at this summer’s World Cup in Russia as they reached the final before losing to France in the showpiece last month.
The 24-year-old will now be hoping to prove himself as worthy of a regular spot in the Chelsea FC team ahead of the new campaign.
And the midfielder has admitted that he is looking forward to getting used to playing with former PFA player of the year Kante for the Blues.
Speaking in an interview with Chelsea FC’s website, Kovacic said: “It will be nice to play with him of course but there is a coach to pick the side and I need to give my best to prove myself.
“To talk about myself is difficult, I don’t like to talk about myself.”
