EPL: Why I didn’t start Hazard and kovacic against Arsenal – Sarri

Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri, has explained why he used his midfielders, Eden Hazard and new signing, Mateo Kovacic as second half substitutes against Arsenal on Saturday evening.

Eden hazard and Mateo Kovacic impressed off the bench and Maurizio Sarri said the pair are yet to gain their full fitness for 90 minutes games.

Goals from Pedro, Alvaro Morata and Maurcus Alonso cemented Chelsea three full points, while Mkitaryan and Alex Iwobi also found the back of the net for the visitors.
The Belgium international substitution into the game against Arsenal helped the West Londoners to a perfect win at Stamford bridge.

Marcus Alonso who completed Chelsea’s third goal against the North Londoners has earlier released a fine assist for Pedro in the 9th minute of the game.

The midfielders are not fit to play full 90minutes, Sarri told BBC news in a question and answer session.

I also think it will be better to use the duo in less than 30m to end the game, when the pressure of the game is going down, Sarri added.
