GOOD NEWS: Player tells his family he has completed Chelsea move

The transfer of Aleksandr Golovin to Chelsea is very close to completion as revealed by the player’s mum. Golovin has become the standout performer for Russia at the ongoing World Cup.

The 22-year-old has received interest from around Europe as several clubs interested in the playmaker. Juventus, Manchester United and Napoli had been linked with the CSKA Moscow ace. However, Chelsea have emerged as front-runners in the race to secure his signing

Earlier reports from Russia had claimed that Blues owner will use his influence to lure his countryman to Stamford Bridge. There seems to be light in that report as Golovin family members have hinted on a possible move to London.

His mother admitted to reporters when quizzed about her son’s future that there have been contact between Chelsea and CSKA Moscow. According to her, any transfer would be finalized after the World Cup as the 22-year-old is focused on getting Russia to the semifinals.

“Yes, now there are talks between the clubs, but we still do not know the details.

“Sacha right now stands only for the Russian team, fully focused on the World Cup.

“The transition from one club to another will only be discussed after it is completed here

Golovin is rated by incoming blues boss Maurizio Sarri, who reportedly sees the Russian international as an ideal fit alongside ball winner Kante in the Blues midfield. Golovin is known for his energetic play and passing ability and would be an excellent signing for the Stamford Bridge outfit.

Golovin has spent his entire career with CSKA Moscow winning several league titles for the Russian giants. He has been impressive at the ongoing mundial where he has won several man of the match awards and guided Russia to a shock win over Spain in the second round.
