The French manager has not managed since leaving PSG back in 2016, however, is now ready to resume his coaching career.

Cup squad revealed Sport Italia claim that the Blues and Blanc have come to terms, however, Chelsea are holding off making an official announcement.

The Blues are waiting to see if Italian manager can release himself from Serie A giants Napoli’s grasp, amid a bitter dispute between the Italian and his ex-team.

Napoli are refusing to budge on Sarri’s release clause despite confirming that former Bayern Munich and Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti will become their next manager.

The Daily Express also claim the confirmation of Blanc’s No.2 is part of the reason for the delay in confirmation. French manager wanted to bring a long-term right-hand man, Jean-Louis Gasset, to Stamford Bridge with him. However, the Frenchman has decided to remain in his job at Saint-Etienne.

The Blues are now pursuing Franck Passi per Blanc’s instructions and are in talks with him.

A new head-coach will see the exit of Italian manager Antonio Conte after just two campaigns at Stamford Bridge.
