With Michael Carrick retiring over the summer and Marouane Fellaini seemingly prepared to leave on a free transfer when his contract expires this summer, we are expected to sign a couple of central midfielders before the start of next season.

Should the Sun be accurate with their report and we do settle on an £80 million transfer, the central midfielder would be the second most expensive player in the league’s history.
We could certainly do with more creativity in the middle of the park as Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini have provided very little this season whilst that’s not Jesse Lingard’s game either on the occasions he has played inside.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is currently in his third season at the Stadio Olimpico since joining from Genk, going on to become one of the most sought-after players this summer.
This would be a huge piece of business for us should we be successful in our bid to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
