Roman Abramovich sanctions Chelsea deal for in-demand midfielder wanted by Arsenal

Chelsea are weighing in on a deal for CSKA Moscow star midfielder and Arsenal transfer prime target Aleksandr Golovin, this is according to report.

Aleksandr Golovin is very popular among the fans of Arsenal with rife speculations that Arsenal have been monitoring the star. The 21-year-old Russian midfielder joined CSKA from Metallurg Novokuznetsk in 2012 and he was handed his debut in 2015.

Golovin is a key figure for CSKA Moscow this season and he has been impressive for the most part of the season. He dubbed as the biggest talent from Russia after Andrey Arshavin and so much expectation has already been laid on his shoulder as Scandinavian country prepare to host the World Cup.

Arsenal are currently short of midfielders but the Arsene Wenger is hoping to sign a player in the stead of Santi Cazorla and Golovin perfectly fits the bill. The Gunners have been linked with a chunk of midfielder but Golovin is a prime target for the side.

However, According to FootballLondon, Chelsea are looking to sign the star and Roman Abramovich has already sanctioned a deal for him. He is unlikely going to get a place in the first team of Chelsea and so, he might be sent to Vitesse Arnhem before returning to play for the first team of the Blues.
