Can we please sell him?'- Chelsea fans slaughter 30-year-old after defeat to Tottenham

Tuesday, 3 April 2018

Chelsea’s season went from bad to worse on Sunday after suffering a 3-1 defeat at home to Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League.

Now eight points adrift of their London rivals, a top four finish in the top-flight is looking increasingly unlikely, meaning there’ll be now UEFA Champions League football at Stamford Bridge next season.

After an incredible debut season in charge of the Blues, things are beginning to unravel quickly for Antonio Conte.

However, it’s not just the manager that fans have an issue with, but the players too. Much of the criticism was aimed at midfielder Cesc Fabregas who looked well off the pace up against a pacy and physical Tottenham in the middle of the park.

The Spaniard was once a Premier League stand-out, but is beginning to look like this level is beyond his current ability.

Supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his performance…

I dont get what Fabregas does on the pitch can't pass, can't hold, can't dribble, can't tackle.....

Fabregas is absolutely done, proper passenger these days. Moses is stealing a living, completely obsolete and the board has to take some of the blame, shocking recruitment

Never ever want to see Moses or Fabregas play for us again. Utter shambles.

Fabregas is finished at top level. No legs. Probably made sense why he was more effective from the bench last season
