The Italian has been under immense pressure this season, with the Blues struggling to find form following their Premier League title triumph last time out.

Chelsea, who lost to Manchester United and Manchester City in the last couple of weeks, have dropped to fifth in the league.

Conte’s men trail Tottenham by five points, putting their chances of securing Champions League football for next season in serious doubt.

However, according to The Sun, Conte could keep his job at Stamford Bridge - even if the Blues fail to finish in the top four.

They claim Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is willing to let Conte stay, as long as he stops complaining about transfers.

The Italian has publicly criticised club chiefs for not backing him in the transfer market, which hasn’t gone down with Abramovich and co.

A Chelsea source told the newspaper: “Roman is not so trigger happy these days when it comes to firing managers.

“Champions League football is important but not a deal breaker.

“These days Roman wants to give his managers every opportunity.

The stress point could be if Antonio starts complaining again.

“People are growing weary of it all.”

Chelsea are back in action on Saturday when the Blues host Crystal Palace in the Premier League (5:30pm kick-off).
