The Blues 24-year-old netminder has been in a great form for the Blades in the Championship so far this season and the Bramall Lane outfit are hoping to sign him on a permanent deal by the end of the season.

The goalkeeper’s exploit at the back is largely the reason behind the team’s success so far this season as they are on course for promotion to the country’s top-flight competition next season.

Despite his exploits for the Yorkshire side, Antonio Conte is not thinking of bringing him to Stamford Bridge ahead of the 2018-19 season as he has huge faith in Thibaut Courtois and also former Manchester City netminder Willy Caballero who has received a call-up to the Argentinian national squad currently preparing for the summer World Cup in Russia.

According to reports, Sheffield are set to meet Chelsea’s asking price for the player as they can’t afford to lose the 24-year-old netminder who is presently rated as one of the best goalies in the league.

Sheffield haven’t splashed that much on a single player for a very long time. They might negotiate with the Blues to convince the Premier League Champions to cut down the player’s price tag before the summer transfer window begins.
