The Sun reports that the Brazilian attacker will join the Magpies this January.

Newcastle wanted to sign the attacker on a permanent basis in the summer, but Antonio Conte decided he was still need at Chelsea and didn’t allow him move.

However, he has featured just three times this season, and all have been in the Carabao Cup. Newcastle will now pay a loan fee to secure his services until the end of the season.

The signing comes as a boost to Rafa Benitez who has been a longtime admirer of the winger and is looking to strengthen his left flank, with Kenedy able to operate anywhere on that flank.

Chelsea signed Kenedy from Brazilian side Fluminense in 2015, and he made 20 appearances in his first season, but the arrival of Marcos Alonso and attitude issues has seen him all but frozen out of the team.

The loan move to St James Park is an opportunity for him to finally prove himself, Kenedy will do well to use the opportunity to show just how good he can be.
