Chelsea have reportedly agreed personal terms with AS Roma defender, Emerson Palmieri ahead of a potential move to Stamford Bridge this month.
The Blues have been in the hunt for a left-back since last summer but failed in their attempt to sign Juventus defender, Alex Sandro after the Serie A giants refused to budge on their £80 million asking price.

However, reports from Italian news Football Italia claim that Chelsea have agreed a fee in the region of €25 million with Serie A outfit, AS Roma after reaching a breakthrough in negotiations with little details left for the Blues to complete a deal for the defender.
It is believed the Brazilian is already on standby to fly into London in other to complete his move to Chelsea within the next 48 hours.
Antonio Conte bringing in a left-sided defender makes perfect sense given the Blues lack of cover in that area.
Spanish defender, Marcos Alonso is the only senior left-back in the Chelsea team and has played virtually every game for the west London club this season, but the arrival of Emerson will give Conte more options at left wing-back and provide adequate cover for Marcos Alonso.
The 23-year-old joined Roma in the summer of 2015 on-loan from Brazilian side, Santos but his move was made permanent in 2016 for a reported fee of €2 million after series of impressive displays and has grown into one of the finest full-back in the Serie A but he is yet to feature in any game for the Romans so far this term due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury he suffered in May 2017.
He is known for his crossing, dribbling, passing, long shots, concentration and defensive contributions.
