Chelsea have a very expansive loan policy that has seen quite a chunk of their prospective youngsters sent on loan spells across European clubs. The Blues midfielder Josimar Quintero has completed a loan move to La Liga side Real Betis until the end of the season, according to report.

Real Betis have been have been reinforcing their squad since the opening of the transfer window and the 20-year old Ecuadorian star is their third signing of the window after Carlos Blanco and Uche. Quintero is expected to join the reserve team of the Seville based club to continue his development.
The former La Masia academy product drew attention from Arsenal and Tottenham at a very tender age. However, he opted to join Chelsea in the summer of 2013 but he couldn’t feature for the Blues due paper works until he turned 18.
Confirming the report that the deal has been sealed by Betis, Chelsea released a statement on their official website part of which read, “At the start of July 2017, Quintero signed a new contract to 2019 and moved on loan to the Russian top flight with Rostov. In January 2018 he changed loan clubs to Real Betis. ”
The youngster penned a contract extension deal with Chelsea in the summer of last year and the deal will span through 2019. He is familiar with the La Liga following his time with Barcelona.
Quintero laid bare his delight after completing the move and he reckoned that he will fit in seamlessly the B team of Betis given their possession-based style of play.

“I am very happy. It’s a club I’ve known since I was living in Barcelona when I was little. I had never thought about playing here. I am very excited to help the team. I hope to give everything possible, to give me confidence and return it,” Quintero was quoted as saying on Betis’ official site.
