Chelsea closing in on finally sealing Brazilian Star deal

Wednesday 20 December 2017

After a whole summer of trying to get the star, Chelsea may finally be seeing the end to their pursuit of Alex Sandro, with Juventus willing to sell him.

Antonio Conte is looking to bring in some more promising acquisitions, as the Italian manager still isn’t one hundred percent satisfied with his squad. One of those players is, perhaps unsurprisingly, Alex Sandro of Juventus.

In his first season with Chelsea, Conte was a huge success. He took a deflated team, with players lacking confidence, and turned it round drastically. All thanks to him having the tactical edge over other managers, he led his team to victory in comfortable style.

However, the London club got off to a shaky start this campaign, facing defeats from Burnley, Manchester City and even Crystal Palace early on. Even though things seem to be back on track now, that’s a warning to Antonio Conte that his players are still human, even though they didn’t look so last term.

With that being said, the Italian knows he must bring in reinforcements. He’s always one to remember his roots, so it’s no surprise that he’s heading back to Italy in order to accomplish this. According to football.london, Alex Sandro could be available for around £44m following discomfort with life in Turin.

He has tallied 4 assists across all competitions for Juventus so far this season, and he’s a Brazilian that’s shown signs of Italian charm, which will go hand-in-hand with Antonio Conte’s philosophy.Chelsea fans already know how exciting this transfer will be, after closely analysing him during the Summer transfer saga. The Brazilian is renowned for his crossing ability, which will serve him well playing with the figure of Alvaro Morata.
