GOOD OR BAD DECISION? Roman Abramovich refuses to meet €70m asking price for World-Class No.9

Chelsea are keen to lure Real Madrid centre-forward Karim Benzema at Stamford Bridge according to the Spanish sources.

The French forward has been heavily linked with a switch away from the Santiago Bernabeu in recent months.

The 30-year-old forward has found the back of the net just eight times in all competitions under Zinedine Zidane this campaign.

Benzema has also struggled with injuries this term, with French forward starting just 21 La Liga games.

And according to Spanish news outlet Don Balon, Florentino Perez is ready to sell their star player Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale this summer as Spaniard plans massive squad overhaul for the next campaign.

Don Balon also say that the Blues are interested in signing of French forward this summer.

However, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich isn’t willing to pay the Los Blanco’s asking price for Benzema.

The Spanish giants want around £62m (€70m) for France international forward this summer, but Abramovich doesn’t want to pay for wantaway Real Madrid star.

However, Abramovich could be forced to splash money this summer in order to compete for Premier League trophy next season.
