Deal Agreed for 27-year-old to join Chelsea ahead of Arsenal Man United

Monday, 25 June 2018

According to British media reports, Premier League side Chelsea are now leading City rivals Arsenal in the transfer race to land Roma star Kostas Manolas this summer transfer window.

Chelsea overtake Arsenal

The Daily Mirror is claiming that Chelsea have beaten neighbors Arsenal to the transfer of the defender this summer window and that the centre-half now looks prepared to join the West London club.

The same report cited unnamed Italian sources as saying that the 2017 premier league champions have activated the Greece international’s £34million buyout clause and are now edging closer to a deal to land him.

The defender is no stranger to rumours linking him with a switch to an English Premier League side, and the 27-years-old has long been tipped as a possible transfer target for Stamford Bridge.

Reports claim Chelsea already sealed deal
Now though, it is being suggested that Chelsea have sealed the landing of the player ahead of their Arsenal.

Neither Chelsea nor Arsenal would offer him UEFA Champions League football next term after both sides missed out on Premier League top four finish last season.

The Blues are yet to formally confirm any new recruits this summer window despite their poor form in the League last season, as they finished fifth on the log.
