After a poor performance in the Premier League season that saw Chelsea ending season fifth on the table, 2016/17 Premier League winner will be looking to make some big signings in the transfer window this summer.

However, they still majority of the players who won the league with them in 2016 and this will be a major solid foundation in helping them challenging for the title this coming season.

Although, Chelsea will need considering shipping out some players and bring in new ones after they failed to qualify for the Champions League for the second time in three seasons.
Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois

At goal, we should still see the Belgium international starting between the sticks although there’ve been speculations linking him with exit to Real Madrid. With that, the sell of the goalkeeper will command hefty fee for the Champions League holders.
Defenders: Marcos Alonso, Antonio Rudiger, Kalidou Koulibaly (Napoli), Cesar Azpilicueta, Victor Moses

Chelsea’s defence was surprisingly poor in the second half of the 2017/18 season. They missed the leadership of John Terry and David Luiz from their title-winning season they should be considering the signing of strong centre-back in the form of Antonio Rudiger and Kalidou Koulibaly.

Midfielders: N’Golo Kante, Jean Michael Seri (Nice)

Fabregas, who joined the Blues from Barcelona for an undisclosed fee said he had an “unfinished business” in the Premier League and Chelsea only matched his ambition. He performed though, and was one of the top performances in Chelsea title winning season in 2016. Fabregas’ form however, dropped drastically during the second half of the 2017/18 season and in light of this, Chelsea have been linked with a move for Arsenal target Jean Michael Seri, who would provide a calming influence in midfield alongside the consistently brilliant N’Golo Kante.
Forwards: Eden Hazard, Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich), Leon Bailey (Bayer Leverkusen)

Hazard has told Chelsea if they deceit from spending big this summer, then he will be happy to remain at Stamford Bridge. If the Belgian’s are to be meant, this could see the Blues signing the likes of Roberto Lewandowski and Leon Bailey this summer. The duo would come into Chelsea’s team and replace misfiring Alvaro Morata and Willian who have been inconsistent in goal.
